About us
Dedicated to Empowering Lives and Strengthening Families
Established in 2001, Alexandria & Akea’s Playhouse, Inc. (AAPI Services) began as an inclusive family daycare founded by Andrea Royal. Created with a vision to offer children with and without disabilities a shared environment, the program fostered early friendships, mutual respect, and a deep understanding of diversity and tolerance.
To meet the growing needs of individuals and families across all stages of life, AAPI Services expanded its scope in 2016 by transitioning to collaborate with the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).
Today, we proudly offer comprehensive adult and youth services, including Day Habilitation, Community Habilitation, and Respite care, empowering participants to gain independence and fully participate in community life.
