Our History
Established in 2002
Alexandria & Akea’s Playhouse, Inc. aka AAPI Services was founded in 2002 by Andrea Royal to provide quality inclusion daycare in a home setting for special needs and typical growing children. Our inclusion program offers children with and without disabilities a chance to secure relationships with each other, enlighten peers and form the bases for understanding and acceptance and kindness. This in turn will be the foundation for creating a mutual respect and understand for the concept and value of tolerance and diversity in the world. In an effort to offer a wider range of services to all individuals with disabilities of all ages, AAPI Services closed its family daycare in 2016 and collaborated with OPWDD. This collaboration allowed us to provide community habilitation, respite, recreational programing and a host of vital services for all ages and individuals with disabilities.
“I seen the need in 2002 and seized the opportunity to further promote inclusion care and do my part to help individuals with disabilities reach their true highest potential”, Andrea Royal, Founder/Ceo
